Understanding the problem
What does activated carbon remove from water?+
It removes free chlorine, chloramines, pesticide residue, organic compounds, bad taste and odour — anything that makes water smell or taste 'off'.
Do I need a carbon filter if I already have an RO?+
Yes. A whole-house carbon filter protects RO membranes from chlorine damage (which destroys them within months) and gives chlorine-free bathing and laundry water.
Choosing the right system
What's the difference between GAC and carbon block?+
Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) is used in large vessels for whole-house treatment. Carbon block cartridges are used inside RO units. We use coconut-shell GAC for the best adsorption.
Installation, space & cost
Can I install it with an existing softener and sand filter?+
Yes — the standard sequence is Sand Filter → Carbon Filter → Softener → RO. We size the carbon vessel to match your existing flow rate.

How often does the carbon need replacement?+
