Understanding the opportunity
What does UF (Ultrafiltration) remove?+
UF blocks bacteria, cysts (Giardia, Cryptosporidium), turbidity and suspended particles down to 0.01 microns — but unlike RO, it keeps natural minerals in the water.
When should I choose UF over RO?+
Choose UF when your TDS is already low (<200 ppm) and the only concern is microbial safety and turbidity — e.g. good municipal supplies or hill-station spring water.

UF vs RO — can I use both?+
Yes, and it's a common pharma/F&B pattern: UF first (long membrane life, high recovery) then RO for dissolved-salt removal. This protects the RO and reduces operating cost.
